Mr. Taylor joined Ponder & Co. in 2002 and opened the firm’s New York office. He has provided capital financial advisory services to the healthcare industry for 38 years. His experience has been focused on advising hospitals and healthcare systems raising capital funds. He has assisted clients in borrowing more than $21 billion in capital, primarily through the tax-exempt bond markets. Mr. Taylor has experience with the full array of debt products and bond structures available in the marketplace and has worked with clients to structure approximately $2 billion in interest rate swaps and other derivative products. He has also provided M&A and divestiture services to a number of clients.

Previously, Mr. Taylor spent 18 years as an investment banker to the healthcare industry with Salomon Brothers, Prudential Securities and Cain Brothers. Prior to that, he was executive director of the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority and deputy director of the Illinois Health Facilities Authority.

Mr. Taylor holds an M.B.A. from Boston University in Massachusetts and a bachelor’s degree from Providence College in Rhode Island.  Additionally, he completed a two year Administrative Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital and is a former member of the Board of the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor, Health System Inc.
