Mr. Kirkpatrick joined Ponder & Co. in 2006. As vice president focusing on derivatives, he is responsible for quantitative analysis of derivative products and other financing tools.
Prior to joining Ponder & Co., he accumulated 14 years of experience working in the investment banking sector as a municipal bond trader both on the buy and dealer-side. On the buy-side, Mr. Kirkpatrick co-managed a $3 billion tender option book that was hedged with LIBOR swaps and SIFMA swaps. As a market-maker, he also hedged bonds with various financial instruments and worked with institutional clients to address their needs.
Mr. Kirkpatrick holds an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. from Texas A&M University in College Station. He is a registered Municipal Advisor (Series 50), and is a Municipal Advisor Principal (Series 54).
