Ms. Zhai joined Ponder & Co. in 2018, and she is responsible for evaluating the financial performance of healthcare providers, assessing access to capital markets, and advising on aspects of capital formation.
Ms. Zhai has over 18 years of significant industry experience and has executed more than $11 billion of senior managed capital markets and derivative transactions for not-for-profit organizations. She has experience with an extensive range of capital markets structures and products, and worked with many largest multi-state systems, single-site community/regional hospitals and academic medical centers.
Prior to joining Ponder, Ms. Zhai was a Director at PwC Corporate Finance, specialized in providing M&A valuation, strategic options assessments, transaction development/execution and capital formation advisory for health systems and higher education institutions. She was also deeply involved in client development and various business negotiations. Ms. Zhai also held senior roles at BMO Capital Markets and Citigroup Capital Markets in the investment banking sector specializing in tax-exempt structured financings for healthcare providers.
Ms. Zhai holds an B.A. in Economics from University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, and she is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
