Ms. Moscatello has more than 30 years experience in healthcare finance. As part of Ponder & Co.’s Capital Advisory Group, she provides extensive quantitative analysis to assist clients in evaluating complex financing transactions and related risks and determining the credit impact of incremental debt. She is experienced in the qualitative and quantitative assessment of credit as well as structuring all types of healthcare finance transactions, including new project financing, advance refundings, escrow restructuring and is thoroughly familiar with the complex tax regulations that apply to tax-exempt financing. Since 2009 she has assisted in structuring $3+ billion in privately purchased tax-exempt and taxable financing transactions and has worked with bond counsel to insure compliance with tax-exempt financing requirements. She covers healthcare clients across the country ranging from small community hospitals to large multi-state systems.
Prior to joining Ponder & Co. in 2004, Ms. Moscatello worked for seven years at a New York financial advisory firm where she completed more than $1.3 billion in capital financing transactions including municipal bond issues, derivative structures and capital and operating leases. She also assisted clients in providing disclosure to the investment community and in developing credit strategies. Her clients included several major national healthcare systems and higher education institutions.
Previously, Ms. Moscatello worked for 14 years at Saint Barnabas Health Care System in New Jersey (now RWJ Barnabas Health) where she was responsible for the system’s capital financing. She began her career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey (now Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield).
Ms. Moscatello holds a B.A. from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Additionally, she is a Certified Public Accountant and an advanced member of Healthcare Financial Management Association. She is a registered Municipal Advisor (Series 50).
