Gaby Hawat is a Senior Vice President at Kaufman Hall in the firm’s Higher Education Practice. He develops strategies that help institutions tackle their current challenges in higher education.

Gaby is also a Principal at Catalyst Partners, a Washington, D.C.-based government relations and public affairs firm. Gaby also serves as Chairman of the National Visiting Committee for the National CyberWatch Center, which is funded by the National Science Foundation and supports cyber security education and workforce development solutions.

Gaby has more than 35 years of experience in higher education, which includes developing community, government, and business partnerships to secure local, state, and federal grants and private funding. Gaby also has extensive experience integrating cutting-edge technologies into professional and academic curricula and building and developing high-performing teams in both private and public institutions.

Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Gaby was the Strategy and Growth Lead for Higher Education at Accenture and served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Providence. Prior to the University of Providence, Gaby was Senior Vice President for Operations and Global Initiatives at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). Prior to FIT, he spent nearly three decades in several progressively responsible positions at Valencia College in Orlando, culminating in the position of Special Assistant to the President and Senior Executive for Strategic Initiatives and Economic Development.

Gaby is a graduate of the Management Development Program at Harvard University, holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and an M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology.
